So I totally woke up this morning from a Final Exam Nightmare. Weird huh? And even weirder, it was for music theory! I never took a music theory class in my life. I actually began opening Carlos to check my e-mail for the testing notice that I kept seeing in my dream. Bee, did you miss an exam or something?

So I spent the weekend in Dahlonega because Dax's birthday's next week but he'll be back home with his parents by then. We saw New Moon and went to Ruby Tuesday, his new favourite. Oh my God that movie is crack. At some point during all the Bella/Jacob melodrama, I leaned over and said, "This movie was much better when she spent all of her time trying to kill herself." For which he laughed and agreed.

WILL CALL! Mother Schub's Spiced Lait du Chaud was my only must, must have. But more importantly, Dax met Kat and Eva! *squee* He likes them, and they like him (I assume) and that makes me toally happy.

Got called in to sub for Wayne this morning and don't have lunch because we didn't have anything I could use to make one. I'm so totally going to get Chik-fil-a after school... Or maybe Sonic...

So I was scrolling through my Google Reader and found this tasty tid-bit on The Frisky. Totally made my day. I know little to nothing of Perez Hilton, other than he likes to snipe and bitch about celebs and that he's got horrid dress sense. But you don't even need to know that to enjoy the clip. Whatta douche...

Have fun everyone!

ZOMG, crazy...

So I just had a scare of a lifetime. I was doing some chores while house sitting, and when I went back into the bedroom I found that part of a chocolate bar was gone. Jackie, Rose's larger dog was the most likely culprit and I freaked the fuck out I started looking up everything from the lethal dosage of chocolate (she ate about 1-1.5 oz of a 64% Coaco Chili bar), to the emergency clinic's number to the treatment for it.

Called Rosie after the clinic and she told me that it should be OK, just watch her, but she's eaten bigger quantities of Chocolate (including part of Lucy's Halloween stash) before. She was more worried about Dan's itching problem (he's taken to hiding in the cat box from me so I can't pop his Benadryl down his throat, which s why he isn't the one who ate the chocolate) and asked me to give him a bath. So with dog watch under way and a lot of support, kind words, and comfort from Dax (who I'd called for other reasons and happened to call me back while I dealt) I'm beginning to calm down.

I should be getting my car back today!

Yesterday was errand day like, whoa! Rose's car needed the Emissions checked for her tag renewal, my Mom needed me to run to the Bank, I went to World Market and got a great deal on a ton of stuff. They had this promo where the first 200 customers yesterday would get a free tote bag. Everything (with a few exceptions like alcohol) you could fit into the bag properly was 15% off. My Mom wanted some mug sets, I got a new French Press, my newsboy cap had 'mysteriously' (and I say mysteriously with heavy sarcasm) vanished so I grabbed a new one, a back scratcher for my Dad, which prompted Mom to say get her one too, chocolate (which led to this morning's crazy), and a few other things. So thrilled! I also picked up a book for my Dad's Christmas gift, got a sweater at Old Navy, and meandered around Target a bit. All in all quite productive so I went and had lunch with Katerina and she told me that our ginormous BNever order is on its way.

Friday morning I sadly got up to do a smidge of Black Friday shopping. And by a smidge I mean that I mean that I went to Big Lots because they had a DDR X and Mat combo pack for the PS2 that I wanted. Got a few things on Mom's behalf and a new USB mouse for Carlos. Friday was also Post-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving. Ever since we were in college, we went to my friend Katherine's house on Black Friday for dinner to make sure the kids and families had a chance to catch up and keep in touch given that we were all over the place at school. So Kat decided to make it a Japanese Festive Sushi dinner and it was AWESOOOOOME! She really out-did herself and everything was beautiful and delicious. She's also got two cats in addition to her old Dachshund Won-Ton. They're lovely interesting little things.

After dinner we went to KARAOKE! It was great amazing fun. Sweet Caroline, Bitch, Bohemian Rhapsody, Michael Jackson, and much, much more.

Life's been a whirl this Thanksgiving and here I was expecting a lazy, relaxing weekend. So much for that speculation I suppose. I did however get to positively binge on Arrested Development this weekend. Makes me really sad that it was canceled. Will Call's this weekend and I've held on to enough of that money to pick up a Yule or two; probably Lick it 'Til it's Sticky. Dax should be with me too.

Back to life tomorrow!

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

It's Thanksgiving! As usual, I'm parked in front of the TV watching the Thanksgiving Parade counting my blessings.

My Family (though I don't always like them, I usually love them)
My Friends (Amazing through the good times and bad)
My Boyfriend (Also Amazing through good and bad; love him to death)
My Job(s) odd, fun, and fulfilling
My Life (a must say mostly because of my accident last month)
My Pets
Baseball
Football

My Mother pissed me off first thing in the morning by sending me on an errand for a glorified Toaster Oven at Big Lots. I gripe, I scowl, I still have a headache. So I'm working on getting rid of the damn thing.

I haven't written in a while because every time I intend to do so, I end up having to sub the next morning and going to bed early. I sub at least once a week it seems and I really like it. I'm hoping that I can be teaching there by next school year. I'm teaching an elective there over the next two quarters it looks like and I'll start sending out my resume for the 2010-2011 school year.

Have a fun day everyone and GO GIANTS!
Writer's Block: My Daily Internet Routine

What's your Daily internet "routine"?

Sponsored by Yahoo!

View Answers

I couldn't help but snort with laughter as I read this, so I had to file an answer. There's an XKCD comic somewhere in their archives that describes my routine to a 'T.' If I'm up after midnight, I'll check my early-updating webcomics. When I get up, I'll check my mail accounts, Google Reader, Friends Page and the comics that update while I slept. During the day I leave my email up in tabs in case something I need to respond to pops up while I do other things. When I get in from nannying, I check through the things that make me laugh and unwind: LolCats and most of those tabs, It Made My Day, Emails From Crazy People, and Crazy Things Parents Say. Those are my staples/routine, everything else is really fluid.

*Charlie Brown Scream*

Ugh, having one of those days where things can only go up. The really annoying part is that it's little things, you know, like the fact that a nest of spiders hatched in Rosie's van behind on the windshield (I have this weird fear of a spider or bug crawling into my ear and laying eggs or something). So I resolved to kill the little buggers once I made it to school and drove. Then I got pulled over for going 60 in a 45 on a major roadway. And I think that they had to be trying to meet a quota too; there were three people they pulled over, me, a couple in a sedan, and a guy on a motorcycle. I haven't had a speeding ticket since I was freaking 18; my record should be spotless unless that and the car accident I also had at 18 (two and a half weeks following the ticket) haven't cleared yet. I think it's five years, but it might be seven...

So I made it to school just in the nick of time... Here's to my day getting better and shiny!

Busy, busy, busy!

I wanna start by thanking alycat16 for her kind words following my accident. I really appreciated it.

So my birthday went off pretty well. I made a large cream cake that was delicious and although my Mom had bought and given me my gift way early (a new flat iron to replace the one England broke), she presented me with a cute blue skirt that I love to smithereens. Thursday night Kat bought me dinner at this quirky taco bar we found and we watched the Yankees/Angels game. And screamed as we thought Brian Fuentes was going to blow it. And screamed some more at the dramatic camera shots of only Fuentes' eyes. Then breathed a sigh of relief when the Angels won... Was an awesome night.

Friday night I drove out to Dahlonega where Dax presented me with a Hello Kitty lunchbox that reads 'I Heart (an apple) Nerds' on the front. I love it thiiiiiiiiiiis much! *Spreads arms wide*

We had a great weekend. We made Funnel Cakes and watched a Twinkie move. That's how we see Twilight; it's a cinematic Twinkie. If we want to watch something we thought was good, then we would watch something like 'The Godfather' or '10 Things I Hate About You,' but instead we figured that we would simply watch something that would rot our brains slightly and make us laugh at the silly. Hence, Twilight. He did eventually get me to watch 'Hot Fuzz' though, which was equally silly, but much better as far as quality goes in my opinion.

I hated havingto leave him even though I had a rash of good luck on my way down. I found this dress I'd been looking for for six weeks at Ross, I found Pumpkin Pie flavoured coffee syrup, Steve Phillips checked himself into rehab (I never liked him), and I subbed a pretty decent class for Geography. While I was subbing, the teacher walked in and asked me to take on his class Tuesday too. Then I got asked to do the morning shift for another teacher.

So I spent yesterday in school. It was really fun for the most part. Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth grades all in various math or science classes and then my Geography exploratory. I ended up giving out Twizzlers to the older kids as a reward for a question answered right and tried to keep it at 1-2 pieces each since I had carpool duty and didn't want them bouncing off the walls. They did pretty well though and got really excited at the prospect of candy.

Today I got called into the Elementary school which is never as fun as the Middle School. The younger kids are cute and all, bu you have to be so much more careful and coddling with them that it's a bit draining. They're so easy to upset and it makes it difficult to know exactly how you can talk to them. Middle schoolers are easier; I know how I can talk to them, I simply have to watch my language and meaning sometimes.

I helped in one class and then taught a pair of Spanish classes. They were 5-6 year olds, so the classes were on things that I still knew from High School, the seasons, and asking to use the restroom/washing your hands. They were pretty good. The greatest part might have been when I was pulling out to come home though; the first wave of middle school students were headed outdoors for recess, and they saw me behind the wheel and started motioning for me to come play with them. Warmed my heart. I told them 'no' of course, but it was a nice feeling.

Fall Festival at First Baptist with Hannah and Sydney. Can't wait!

Later everyone and Phuck the Phils! Go Yankees (one of the few, rare times in my life you will catch me cheering on the Yanks)

Sometimes Life Throws You a Curveball...

Soooo... I'm feeling pretty low right about now. The front driver's side tire popped off my car today. I'm OK, but she's pretty banged up. I felt she was driving funny anyways so I'd planned to take her in to the tire shop after my Dentist appointment to have them check the balance anyway. But I was driving along the highway and suddenly there was this big *thud* and my car tilted down to the left and there was this horrid scraping noise. As I tried to pull off to the shoulder, I vaguely saw my tire bouncing away. I didn't hit anything head on, so the airbags didn't deploy, but I scraped up the passenger side of the car a bit against the guard rail in doing so. I was shaking and though it's totally cliche, I'm glad I had my seat belt on because it would have been a lot worse if I hadn't...

So I called my Mom and then the Insurance Company, then my Dad, who came to sit with me until the tow truck arrived. Dax sat on the phone with me for a bit until Dad showed up so that I'd have some company. Dad showed up and later so did the tow guy. He was really nice and I think it shocked him that I knew and liked Football, so we spent the ride discussing the merits of Brett Farve's experience as a QB. I still think his arm'll fall off by about week 14.

When we finally got home Dad took me to McDonald's for food because I was starving. After I ate, and did my chores and thought about it for a bit, I just broke into tears. I was frustrated, upset, scared, and relieved. My car is out of commission until further notice, I could have been seriously injured, tomorrow's my birthday, and the list simply went on. Dax talked to me for a bit, and it made me feel a bit better to simply have some company again.

Eventually a friend of Mom's who's a mechanic showed up to take a look at her and he should have a quote for us by tomorrow afternoon. After that, Dax called back to love on me some more and be a shoulder to cry on. He's lovely. We looked at Lols and the like. It made me laugh.

Mommy brought me Kahlua and I had the idea to ask Rosie to let me borrow her car. She's loaning me her van for about a week.

I've cried so much that my head hurts; here's hoping that tomorrow's a much better day!

The Birthday is in ten days. I'm just ranting, it's about RPG stuff, under cut, you don't really have to read.

So while talking to Ann about RPG stuff, the fact that L's a complete attention whore came up, but I hadn't realised how much she'd wrangled all of the major plots to involve at least one of her six characters until I went looking for a place to post an ad for our RPG. So let's pick apart the HNY Ad out and about that reads:

Title of RPG: HogwartsNewYearRPG

What's new in HNY? Here's a short recap of the last week or two!

Stephen of Ravenclaw and Jacques of Slytherin continue to plot revenge against Malfoy drawing inspiration from mumbled comments from Binns about the magic of the lost Pictish kingdoms. Their plotting is in the beginning stages, but the two boys are drawing closer together and overcoming a reluctance to trust the other. (Stephen is hers and she likes to make private little plot lines with Jacques' player that no one else would have any way of getting in on)

Lucius Malfoy paid a visit to Headmaster Dumbledore to complain about the presence of Remus Lupin at the school. Lupin is acting as a 'counselour' while also undercover as a member of the Order of the Phoenix and aiding in the ongoing investigations into the upsetting events of the new school year. Lucius failed to convince Dumbledore to get rid of Lupin, but he did succeed in convincing Draco to launch his own student club like Potter did a year earlier but devoted to the Dark Arts and other forbidden magic at Hogwarts. Lucius hopes to lure students into joining the Death Eaters. (She plays Lucius and while I was temping Dumbledore, she decided to take it upon herself to take the role and let him say what she wanted him to say as opposed to letting me finish out the exchange. That really bugged me. She also plays Draco so once again, just pushing her own characters into the limelight)

Narcissa Malfoy also put in an appearance, chiefly to complain to the new Runes instructor about his teaching methods and perceived anti-Slytherin bias.
The ferret stories about Draco have been expanded to include tales of a White Stag in reference to the antlers hex incident. (Once again, she plays Draco)

Leni of Slytherin visited Harry in the infirmary after the accident in Potions to see that he was all right and to tell him it had been an accident. She claims Draco does not know she went to see him. Harry asked her to come to one of his DA meetings and to bring along one other Slytherin just not Malfoy. Harry wants to question her and whoever she brings along using the Truth serum that Hermione is preparing to brew. (She plays Harry and Leni who is Snape's favourite little Potions pet. Eventually she will be able to write the entire DA meetings with as little need to allow anyone else to speak)

Runes class is getting underway. Hermione hopes to use the assigned partner work to further soften up Leni of Slytherin after hearing that Harry asked her to come to the DA meetings. Though Draco is also in the Runes class, Hermione hopes to get Leni alone in the hopes she will talk more openly if Malfoy isn't around to influence her. (This is true, but once again, note how crucial she's made Leni by having Harry invite her to the DA. Leni's relationship with Snape will also become important and big news once things get going)

Severus Snape has been tormented with upsetting visions all morning involving one of his students. Earlier in the year, he had removed a locket he recognised as being full of Dark Magic from the girl in question. He suspects the locket is causing the visions and is determined to solve the mystery of the intricate Runic inscription and find a way to break the powerful dark magic before it consumes both of them in the maelstrom that has been unleashed. (This student is Leni. Do we notice a pattern growing? Once again, his little Potions pet who he's falling in love with, giving special classes, and allowing use of his own private things. L is temping Snape while Sue is outta commission.)

Lupin is getting on quite well with the new DADA professor, Daniel Marie. The appearance of a giant pink blancmange got the professors talking and Lupin reminiscing about a schoolboy prank played by Sirius on Severus that involved a blancmange. Lupin thinks the memory of that incident is what had Severus so obviously upset during lunch. Severus left in a huff shortly after the mention of Sirius Black. (She's temping Lupin while Sue finds a way to post more regularly that doesn't upset her arm, she plays Daniel Marie herself. Severus (as played by L) is really upset because he's falling in lust with Leni)

Neville and Harry will spend their free period trying to learn more about tracking spells in an effort to find Ginny Weasley, known to be captured by Death Eaters. (Which she has yet to post for because it's not at the forefront of posting conversation like Draco's Mother being there or two of her characters kissing in the hall. So Neville's player has nothing to do ATM because L hasn't seen fit to play Harry when he's not the centre of attention)

Pansy and her cohorts are discussing ways to set up Lupin and wondering how strong a blood lust Lupin/werewolf has and whether he's a threat around girls at a certain time of the month. (One of L's characters, Lexx, has implied that Leni should be used as bait)

An idea had been bandied about among a few Death Eaters of resurrecting Barty Crouch Jr. drawing on the notion of dementors as natural horcruxes... We would LOVE to see a writer who could take on this role and develop this story with us! (But as there's nothing to do with her overly self important characters directly, it was never spoken of again)

Intrigued? Do you think you could add to these stories and/or write ones just like them or even better?

Help us write the saga that is Hogwarts. It's not all about Harry, even if he is the 'Chosen One'. (No, it's all about L's characters being the special ones)

Plot points that should have gone into this ad but were 'somewhow' over looked :

Ravenclaw Mandy Brocklehurst is hoping to find the link between all of the recent attacks and the list that circulated with potential victims last week. She also spent the free period in the Infirmary, hoping that the Healer would take her under wing and teach her about the Healing Arts (At the same time Leni visited Harry though, so no one else mattered)

Hufflepuff needs new prefects in the seventh year both male and female, not to mention a new Quidditch Captain

Lionel Richardson, Ravenclaw, writes a small tabliod-esque paper called 'The Hogwarts Howler. What'll be his next big story

Ashley Miller, who was attacked on the Hogwarts express has been suffering from severe and inexplicable pain and had to go to the Hospital wing

Firius Burnside made an attempt to forge a bond with his adoptive sister and failed. Now he's in potions class trying to curb his temper and hide the fact that his left arm is in pain and utterly useless

I seriously thought I was over reacting when I started thinking that she'd over reached herself, but as I look at the current plot lines, HNY has honestly become 'Her' show. It's really become mostly a fanfiction of her writing with a smattering of other writers and players. I'd quit if I didn't keep hoping that I could get something started for Mandy. Hermione's got plenty going on, but it's still under Harry's shadow. since that's the way it really was in the books, I don't really care, but I'd love to get something going for Mandy and it's difficult to find a place unless I want to insert her into one of the other plots. Which I don't because seriously, I shouldn't be allowed my own plot line if I can find the place.

I don't even really do mod stuff any more because she decides that everything should go the way she thinks. I'm not going to approve posts any more unless I can help it because I don't want to cross her when my ideals are not the same as hers regarding how something should go.

24 in 17 Days

Waking up and having my morning cup of coffee. I just wish it were better coffee, but my Mother, bless her soul doesn't realise that there are few reasons that a singular bag (as opposed to an entire brand) of coffee is discounted. It's either being discontinued/the brand is going away, or it's beyond the date and going stale. Since I'm sure that Starbucks isn't going out of business any time soon, for a bag of their coffee to be discounted to $2.50, it's going stale. Plus it was ground, so it's really losing its flavour. I'm not a coffee expert by any means and I don't pretend to be, but seriously, I can taste when my coffee tastes bad and the cups coming from this bag does. Mom doesn't taste it given that she drinks coffee after I've run it through for her a second time. I appreciate the attempt to do something nice for me, but sometimes you really need to go for quality over a discount.

Went to the Greek Festival last night. As usual, it was tasty. I'm in love with their coffee. I plan on trying to hunt some down today. We brought back tons of pastries, Mom and I both got cute new scarves, and got pastry. Siriusly, I didn't find anything that I really needed or wanted (with the exception of this one ring that had a sapphire coloured stone and opal inlays, but the stone was set in a way that I didn't like), so I just brought home pastry. On the way home I saw Forrest. Which was weird because I'd just seen him two weeks ago at AWA. He apparently lives and works right down the street from the Church.

Headed to BPAL WILL CALL today! I've never been, and the Halloweenies look like they smell quite delectable, so I kinda have to go. It was supposed to be Kat, Bee and me going, but Bee caught Mono and Kat's got work stuff (and the fear that she's got Mono), I'm goin' solo and picking up a bottle of Devil's Night on Bee's behalf. I'm still looking forward to it, but I'll miss the girls. I'm going to try and find some Greek coffee when I go too.

I subbed Friday. I'm really enjoying the classroom setting. I get a sweet satisfaction from knowing that a student's asked me a question and I could help him/her reach the right answer. At the Friend School I've really grown fond of the Sixth Graders. The kids are friendly and lively. A lot of the Seventh Graders are reaching that age where they are either full of drama or like to push the bounds of authority to the point where I wish I was a Seventh Grade girl so that I could smack them and take the punishment for it. I haven't met many of the Eighth Graders yet, and the few I have met haven't been very open.

So the Mets have nothing to do but pray for 2010 to be better. They're ending strong enough, much like they begun. I wish that it had been there throughout the entire season. *Le Sigh* But Josh Thole, that new rookie Catcher, looks like he can be something big. He'll be fun to keep track of next year. I've kinda taken on the idea that so long as neither the Phillies nor the Cardinals win it all, I'm good with the National League. In the AL, we all know that I just want the Yankees to lose. I wouldn't be at all heartbroken if the Angels won it all with what they've been through this year, they're always cool in my book.

The Braves came close to pulling out the Wild Card slot, but then they ran into the Marlins. I've noticed that in the past few years (starting right around 2004 after they won the World Series and had the fire-sale), the Marlins aren't really good, they simply exist to play the role of spoiler for anyone who might have a chance to do something. I hear sports talk talk about how talented the Marlins are and how great they can be, but the sooner everyone realises that they're nothing but a spoiler team and haven't caught lightning in a bottle, the sooner they can focus on getting good nd catching said lightning.

I think that's everything I have to say. Have a great week everyone!

So I'm sure that I must be an idiot, genius, or a madwoman; not sure which yet. My 'G' key was stuck and I looked up how to fix it. So I started taking apart the key only to decide that to get the corners cleaned just right, I had to remove a few of the surrounding keys too. That's how I broke the 'T' key. And it refused to go back on! It took me half an hour, but I finally got it back on and it's all working quite well. I need to find a way to clean my keyboard without ripping the keys up or using compressed air because I hate that bitter taste. So I basically am saying that I willingly disassembled part of my keyboard, essentially broke it, and then had to fix it myself instead of trying to find a professional... I'm not the brightest, I know, but it did feel good to fix it all on my lonesome. ^.^

So Con weekend heralded in rain. A ton of rain that included flooding in the South East to the point where Six Flags might as well have been Atlantis. The Interstate flooded and schools got rained out for two days.

I spent those three days in school. No kidding. I got a call to sub for two teachers at once. I took Rose's fifth grade morning classes and Dorothy's Sixth and Seventh grade Math classes. They were easy enough in that most of the classes involved administering exams.

Thursday and Friday I was already scheduled to sub for Kurt, a sixth grade Social Studies and Language Arts teacher. I didn't have to get up and teach, though I would have had fun doing so, and Friday was test day in both subjects. I did have fun meeting lots of different kids though. I got on with most of them well, once they realised that I run a 'benevolent dictatorship.' I did have a few problems when I had a group of rude and unruly seventh grade boys in an elective class, but they got into their own trouble.

I had an anniversary Sunday. Second one. I still find it epic that I've got someone who loves me like Dax does. I drove up there and we went to Waffle House. Waffle House is tasty.

We didn't do much Saturday, which is the way it should have been. In the end, we decided on impromptu Sushi and grocery shopping for anniversary dinner. Kiku might be our favourite shared place outside of simply being at home together. We got stuff for casserole, steak, mashed potatoes, corn, cheese cake, and pumpkin bread.

It was all delicious. Our Cheesecakes fell a bit and were not uber-lovely, but they were delicious! Dinner was wonderful and even more so, cooking dinner was so much fun. We learned what to do for the next time we made certain dishes, we had a ton of food, and spent time together.

Dinner meant Stardust. Stardust is such a sweet movie. I like the ending better than that of the book.

I'm supposed to sub half-a-day on Friday and the Greek Festival and Will Call are this weekend. Can't wait!

*Deep Breath*

AIIIIIIIEEEEE!

I got my unofficial teaching exam results today (unofficial meaning they tell me pass or fail, but I can't use the e-mail as an attachment to add to an application), and I PASSED THREE OF FOUR EXAMS! I passed both Biology exams, and the English I (which is like late middle, early high school material) exams. They don't give you the scores, only pass/ did not pass to keep potential jobs from weeding out candidates based on them (I think). But I'm (un)officially certified by the State of Georgia to teach! *Happy Dance*

So AWA was this weekend. I was a kitty all weekend which was a great choice because it's raining like whoa around here and a costume woulda gotten seriously ruined. I drove out solo but met up with Shouppe and his friends there and Dax, Cleaveland, Izy, and Karl came down later. It was fun! They changed things a bit, like the location of Artist's Alley, but it was still pretty awesome. I didn't buy much, a pretty blouse, some buttons, Pocky, Postcard, hair pins, and a few other odds and ends. Oh, and a mini Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

I loved having the chance to hang out with everyone, which is even more important than the actual planned events of Con to me. I bumped into lots of friends and acquaitances there. Tyler the Dwarf was there with some friends who on the last day glomped our Con-virgins. And then Tyler literally took on out by rushing him. But in addition to him, I saw Andy (who didn't recognise Dax despite the fact that I was using him as a human pillar and his arms were wrapped around my shoulders), David and Amanda, Forrest and Tyler (who for some reason looked like he should be named Ben, and I called him thus), Molly and Audrey, and the chibi Hinata I see every year.

I didn't watch much as far as video rooms goes because I wasn't interested in most of what they were showing this year (but Totally Lame Anime is an annual must), but yesterday we went and saw Spice and Wolf, which is a really cute and sweet Anime. I like the writing so I need to keep watching.

It's become truth universal that I wear my sneakers until they wear through and become impossible to wear. My Houndstooth Chucks went out that way, and now my black-and white Hi-tops have. Europe killed those suckers! Not to mention a pair of flats that I wore until the soles began to separate from the shoes. Both sets of sneakers went the same way: I wore them out and then it rained so that the water soaked through my shoes and socks. So on my way home I had to stop at DSW and find a pair. I realise that things are more expensive, but I'm still a sticker about spending more than $30.00 on a pair of sneakers. Hi-end pumps or boots, maybe (which I still haven't done), but not every day kicks. So I found a neat lookin' pair of Raspberry coloured low-tops. They're a bit big, but I'm OK with that because well, I needed sneakers and they are pretty.

I'm dyeing my hair again. I stopped by Lush Cumberland Mall for their Curled up and Dyed event. They gave me some tips about where to look for some advice on where to look for tips regarding using the Cacas. I think I might have made some change, but next time around (January or February depending on how this application turns out and its fade rate) I'll have to make sure I have some paprika to add in.

So that's that. I have my Two-Year Anniversary this weekend. I've had my boyfriend for two years; how epic is that?!?! I bought his present a while ago and while he knows what he's getting, I think he'll love it once he sees it in person. ^.^

Grrrrr... I want to strangle Russ! He's the father of the two little girls I've sat for the longest, and ever since he and Rosie split up, it's been one fuck up after another with him! I mean, he'll call me to sit and then suddenly be like, 'Oh no, wait, I don't need you after all' the day before I'm supposed to sit if I'm lucky! That happened twice with him forgetting to even tell me the the second time Sydney did, and then Rosie got in touch with me last week asking me to sub for her this coming Tuesday, but it was iffy because it's apparently a meeting vis-a-vis the divorce and Russ had been threatening to cancel. So she told me to double check tonight. Sure enough, Russ bailed on the appointment. I never quite realised that Russ was a total Jackass until they got divorced...

I've got my Maine Man back and though he lost today, I'm glad to have him back.

I've got a new Mp3 player, named 'im David, just need to figure out how to put videos on him. Very finicky about that...

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It's been so long since I've posted! How's everyone been? Tell me everything, I feel so out of touch.

I've been back to my normal routine of after-school nannying after Evil-Ellie. I'd missed my girls so much over the summer. I did an interview to become a Substitute Teacher at a school near me and I'm now on their circulation list. Yay. I may begin tutoring soon too, depends on if the pupils at the school have a need.

I took state exams in Biology and English for Teacher Certification. Hope I did well.

AWA's next week and I'm excited. The next weekend's my two-year anniversary and I'm over the moon. I bought him a set of Stargate Coasters and I really hope he likes them. Last year I did surprises and while he liked them, this year's gifts have a bit more wiggle room as far as options and whether or not he'll like them so I'm collaborating with him. I'm picking the gifts, but there are things like patterns involved and I want him to like them. I do love the fact that I have a boyfriend who's not afraid of pink. ^.^

My boys are out of it. Have been for a long time and don't quite seem up to the role of playing spoiler. 2010 my loves, 2010. Just... get that swagger back. Enjoy yourselves and dance, act like little boys. So long as you're not directing your antics at the other team directly, you're not dissing anyone. Go out there and have some fun!

I have my yearly cold of season change, but I'm getting over it.

Life So Far...

I use that icon so often because it's so true... So last weekend my Dad wanted to go to the Braves/Dogders game. Which was cool 'cuz I've never seen the Dodgers live. So I grabbed my sister to get tickets with me and we hopped a train downtown. About halfway to the stadium I had a wacky idea. If there were still tix to the game, did she want to stick around and watch? She hadn't been to a ball game in over two years (I hadn't gone in three months and was sad about it, so how se did it I don't get) and we'd been looking for an overlap in our schedules to go together so she said sure. We grabbed Sunday tickets for me and Dad and a pair of standing room only for us that day. Was fun to show my sister how to run around the ballpark and hang over the 'Pen. Eddie Perez was flirting with every chick and her ta-tas to the point of throwing a kiss to the line of girls as he left at game's end. I was oogling Mike Gonzalez's pitching like whoa! And giggling that Kris Medlen is being rookie hazed. He wears a 'My Little Pony' backpack that is pink and green and complete with a real pony's tail. Sunday's game was fun too, and I'm awaiting the Phillies game with my sister.

I spent the past week baby-sitting. A little boy and girl, 6 and three respectively. The little boy was sweet and the little girl is a future Regina George in the making. She's evil I tell ya! Crying spells when she thought it would earn her her way, she washed off her paintbrush in my Ginger Ale, she lied to me and told me that her brother wanted cheese on his sandwich when he told her no, messed up a toy and demanded her brother clean it, huffed, was rude, rolled her eyes, etc... I've never been glad that I wasn't a child's mother before her. Her brother Sam's a cutie, but I think Montessori school's given him this willy-nilly, no direct train of thought sort of way. Like when he tried to explain his to me, he clicked right through the directions and didn't tell me how the controls worked until halfway through the game, that sort of thing. I do realise however that I'm totally not ready to be a mother yet...

So I cried in joy for my freedom on Friday when I got paid and left.

Today I did some much earned dorking. Drove out to B&N at the Forum and bought coffee, a scone, and settled in with a book. I also bought U.S. Cosmo! and UK! Cosmo! UK Cosmo had Mia Tyler who I idolised as a pre-teen for her ability to find herself beautiful while not being stick thin. They also had interviews with women of several body sizes in the nuddy pants talking about how they felt about their bodies. Even women my size! You'd never see that kind of appreciation for a woman's beauty in her confidence in an American newsstand mag. Maybe in a specialty or on-line mag, but never Cosmo of Glamour. I might have to start buying UK Cosmo from now on too. I also bought Susan Carroll's Twilight of a Queen, which'll be an interesting read as I refused to read the fourth book in the series because it had nothing to do with the original series characters. Then I made the 'mistake' of wandering into the DVD and Music section where I found The Tenth Kingdom on DVD! For half off! Yes, I had to have it. I got a new purse at Target; mine was starting to fray. Badly gorgeous purple patent leather, lots of pockets means that I can keep my Mp3 player in it without the cord getting wrapped in my keys. Loves it bunches!

When leaving the mall, Kat texted me asking if I wanted swing by and watch the Yankees/Sox game. Which was an automatic fuck yes. So we watched as the Umps made calls that blatantly made it easier for the Yankees.

So that's been life. I go back to taking care of Hannah and Sidney soon, and I'm scheduled to take the Praxxis exam to try and earn teacher certification.

Happy Birthday Ally!

It's Hot!

So last week was the All-Star Break complete with effigy burning, Shortbread, celebrity Softball, a realisation that I'm such a twit sometimes, (part) of the game, and a long drive in the dark.

Effigy burning and Home Run Derby were awesome. Craigger and his Dad are amongst the few men in the world who take me seriously regarding Baseball (as opposed to the men who listen indulgently, comment that you know your stuff and then still act like you're only there to see hot men in skin-tight pants. Though it is a plus...) and it's fun to lounge around their couch and catch up while scaring Craig by still being a girl.

The game was as usual a win for the AL. I'm getting so sick of it... I didn't get to watch the whole thing with Kat because at the Derby I realised that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came out Tuesday for Wednesday and not Thursday for Friday like I previously thought. D'oh! So I had to leave after a few innings.

The movie was great. Well acted, really pretty. The script irked me in a few paces because it fucked with things that were set up for book seven (Dumbles' wand and the Burrow anyone?). My visit was fun too, and though our group luncheon didn't go so well, it was nice to see Karl and Izy.

This week was the Ginats in town and OMG, there's something to be said for being the envy of every boy in a three foot radius. (We believe) Bob Howry tossed a BP ball into the stands (while we watched Johnathan Sanchez of no-hitter awesomeness throw side session) to appease the screaming teenaged boys who wanted a ball. Now if the guy doesn't hand it to you, it's fair game to whoever lays fingers on it first. Which was me. It bounced rolled and hopped to right by my side so I scooped that bad boy up and recieved the 'bitch' face from every guy around me. I couldn't get it signed because the only guy who was doing autographs was Barry Zito (Lincecum was pitching, the whole reason (OK, most) we went) and I

A) Am in possession of his John Hancock -and-
B) Kat thinks he might remember us from two years ago and was laughing at us

I don't think he does; we're pretty much faces in the crowd amongst the girls who show up in cleaveage-bearing tops and shirts and other inappropriate for the Ballpark attire, even with the blue-hair comment (it was still two years ago and I'm sure girls actually say creepy things to him). I think he asked Howry about the commotion he started and when Howry told him about the ball, he had to point in our direction. IMHO, a pair of girls in a sea of boys, one of who beat the rest of them to the baseball would make any guy laugh with the unexpectedness of it all. Besides, I've embarrassed myself in front of men I see way more often at that Ballpark.

The game was awesome. Lincecum wasn't great sadly, but Jair Jurrjens was. He went 7 2/3 and did well. Plus we went wandering and nearly missed a ball tossed our way from the bullpen by Peter Moylan. We still got a smile (which I will admit, made my heart skip a beat in shock), which always makes me happy. I like to see guys who smile at their fans as opposed to scowl or keep on walkin'.

So yesterday I found The Frisky. It's a neat pop-culture site devoted to women with different articles and pictures about guys, sex, relationshps, and style. You know, the things that all women have in common. One of my favourite gems that I've found perusing the site today was a video of, no shit girls, Cormac McClaggen dancing in his undies! It's an ad for some man-panties thing. Who cares, it's hilarious and eye candy. I acknowledge that he is good lookin'. Now he just needs to be in a role where he isn't an ass. And I've checked, he's legal. But sirusly, seven minutes of him dancing in his panties.

<lj-embed id="6" />

So that's that for now! The AC's busted so I'm finding ways to either keep cool (iced green tea with lemon) or ignore it (blogging, Frisky, RPGing and a facial). Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday!

It's Only July!

And we've reached the mid-point. Tonight's the Home Run Derby and tomorrow night's the All Star Game. I want to begin by saying that a year later, I still hate Assassin's Creed. Last year's Derby was special and I'd wanted to share it, but the arrival of the game took that opportunity from me and I'm still slightly bitter about it.

I love the Home Run Derby. Sure it's slightly meaningless, and they're basically taking BP, but it's so much fun for me. I love watching the guys goof off on the sidelines with their video cameras and cheer one another on, the faces of their families, guest and most of all their kids as they watch the festivities, the sound of Berman's trademark 'Back, back, back, back, back, back, GONE!' as balls fly over the fence, and the spectacle of it all. This year's festivities are a bit different as a few months ago Craig came to me with a proposition. He suggested that we try to send some bad mojo in the direction of our mutual enemies (mostly the Phillies and Marlins, but I've expanded that a bit for his consideration), with an effigy burning. Since we both spent part of the season in Europe at differing times, we decided tht the All Star Break would be a dandy occasion. I scoured my Baseball cards and have several faces and names to go into the fire and I promised to provide the starter (nail polish remover).

So I'm making Shortbread for the party. I look forward to it. I'll take pictures as the cards go up in flames. To all my friends watching the Derby: Enjoy the show!

The Trade...

Sooo... Here's how I see it:

Jeff Francouer:
The Good

Change of scenery and away from that damn cow! (Feel free to ask about our theories on the cow)

The veteran tutelage of Gary Sheffield. I know what I said about him when he joined the team, but he's kept his head down, done his best, etc... So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt

More big names: David Wright, the Carloses, Frankie. Hopefully they'll be able to eclipse him in media coverage and give him a chance to get his grip on things and relax a bit. And he just needs to be good...

The Bad

The Media. You know, in case that whole 'more big names to eclipse him unless he does something really dumb' thing doesn't pan out

Citi Field is big. This means that there's a lot of room for the French to cover out there and a loooong throw back to the infield, much less to home plate.

The fans; I'm not gonna lie, the beer drinking twenty-something young men are brutal and you came from Atlanta

Jeffers has been swinging for the fences lately because he's wanted desperately to get himself back into the good graces down in Atlanta, but Citi Field is big as mentioned above, so you'l be disappointed if you try to go yard with every swing

Ryan Church:
The Good

Jerry did him wrong at the start of the year not giving him the starting job. No lies. A new place with a manager who favours talent and experience might do him some good

The Ted's smaller than Citi Field

Less injuries ATM, meaning less flux in the lineup meaning, regular playing time

A more stable pitching staff because let's face it, I love my guys, but our pitching is in absolute shambles at the moment between injuries, ineptitude, and a clear lack of run support

The Bad

That damn cow!

This is the field and the team where he received the concussion that screwed up his 2008 season in the first place. You might as well send Brian McCann to Arizona where Eric Byrnes steam-rolled him in '06 and ruined his season and chance at the batting title and tell him 'Good luck, have fun, and play nice with Eric.'

Is Ryan totally healed? Is that why Jerry was so hesitant about him being the bona fide everyday starter?

All toll, I cannot honestly say who got the better end of the deal. I can only wish Ryan the best as a Brave and a little better for Frenchy as a Met. Here's hoping the All-Star Break brings some rest, relaxation, and recharge for my Orange and Blue boys!

As I type, Jeff Francouer has hit his first two RBIs as a Met! That's step one Frenchy!

*Headspin*

So I bought myself take-out Pizza, Tiramisu, and Irish Cream as an end-of camp celebration, but when I came inside, my Dad told me that the Braves traded Jeff Francouer! To the METS! WTF? I mean, I love Frenchy really I do, but now he can't wear number 7, I liked Ryan Church, and how's he going to fit in in New York? Kat's going to have to become something of a Mets fan now with Jeffy on my roster. I can't put together that line-up! This is making my head swim! I mean, they've been talking trade bait with Jeff ever since the slump started last year, but he's homegrown! I genuinely thought that based on that fact alone they would never unless he asked.

So today was the last of camp. I'm really pissed at a few of the other teachers. They gave kids stuff like candy and balloons at the start of the day. This meant that by third period, they were so hopped up on sugar and playing with balloons that half of them refused to pay attention and do what they were told. We had to put the classroom back to the way the school had it and it was a mess because of the lack of attentivness. I had a few helpers...

So we settled in for fun animal videos and Zach, Max and Mia simply wouldn't behave. Lots of repetitions ensued... Even worse, wehn they had to wait for the Closing Ceremonies to begin and their parents to arrive, they kept playing with those damn balloons! It got to the point that anyone caught with his or her balloon in the air was getting it popped. Alexa was first and true to my word, I grabbed a fork. She protested, but took it like a woman in the end. Minutes later, it was Jordan's turn... And yes, she had to deal with it too. There was a quick sweet slide show and parents came. I made sure to talk to Jordan's, Alexa's, and Katie's parents. Mia's couldn't make it and I steered cear of Max's and Zach's.

Cleaning up was funny because I noticed three kids who left their backpacks... Fun. Here's hoping they invite me back to teach the class next year. I'd love to!

Baseball Musing

Watched the Mets and Dodgers last night. Ollie was back. He has to prove to me that he deserves to be back. Aly too I believe; he has very few fans and even fewer true fans like the two of us. He was squirrelly as usual and the walk total was a bit high for my liking. I've been a rotten active fan as I keep simply assuming that they're losing and calling it a night. But they were on last night, ergo I had to watch. The team's riddled with injuries and the media makes excuses for any other team that doesn't do well, but the Mets are 'spiraling' and 'just don't have it.' I hope the end of the All-Star break brings back my spark plug, my Maine man, and my big boppers. We need them badly. Not to mention I could use a whole pen for more than five weeks. I'm a bit mad at Frankie for the Manny homer. I know he's not perfect, but that was a big At-bat and I wanted him to win it.

Daniel Murphy! That was the most beautiful play I've seen this year! Play as opposed to catch. Jacoby Ellisbury diving into the Monster vs. the Braves might be the most beautiful catch I've seen this year.

So I've pulled out Endy-bear from the last visit I had to Shea in '06. I need him now. Let's hope last night was the beginning of something real and not a hopeful glimmer to burn out.

*Charlie Brown Scream*

WHY DO I KEEP GETTING INTO THE SAME SITUATION OVER AND OVER?! I never once told Beth that I didn't want to play with her, I simply told her that I was collaborating on an idea with Katie and as for Arnel, we hadn't put fingers to keys yet. The idea is in the infantile stages until I'm out of camp! And for some reason because I didn't try to overload myself by adding on one of her characters, she said that I didn't want to play with her? And then ran and told Kelley on me? WTF? I was very clear that I hadn't been active in a while and was trying to get back into the game after several months of not having given it a thought. Katie and Arnel actually tried to bring me back; came with ideas in hand. Beth just expects me to jump? She didn't tell me anything about her characters, what they do, or how my character could run into them. I did however thank her for trying to be one of the ones to pull me back into active RP, which is more than I can say regarding Kelley. First she snaps at me and offers no help, then she plays Mommy at me on Beth's behalf.

Katie and Arnel both had ideas/jumping off points. I'm so sick of saying something benign only for it to get twisted around and turned into some monstrous offensive statement that it never was in the first place! God, God, dammit, dammit! Why can't people just speak up and say 'hey what do you mean by that?' or 'That hurt my feelings' or 'Well, here's an idea/plot kernel; what do you wanna do with it?' instead of flipping out on me and accusing me of things I didn't fucking do? And then for her to not have the guts to say something, instead she runs to Kelley. Christ.

*Breathes deep*

OK, done yelling now.

Weekend's Over, Back to Life

Just got back from Fourth of July weekend at Dax's. I gotta say that it was nice to not wake up to hear that the house had fucking flooded like last year. Now once Tuesday passes, I'll be really great.

From SIG to Dax's I made really good time considering that it was Friday 3, July. I beat Dax to his house from Wal-Mart and met his mother, cousin, and her husband. Alone. It was scary in that 'Oh dear God I really want her to like me sort of way.' You know, the feeling anyone gets at a major interview. But I think it went pretty well. His Mom's sweet and loves Dax. He is after all her only offspring. He always says that I'm a lot like her in some of the ways that he respects, but I realise that sometimes, the people you're most like are the ones you can loathe the most too. So until she tells him otherwise, I'm worried that she may not like me.

Dinner went well though. Between the corn, chicken, and Baklava (fresh made, Russian style) it was probably the best cooking either of us had done ever. And the most. Every time someone complimented the food I just glowed a little. I'm proud of the work we did and we're going to do it again in just short of two weeks. K.A.R.L. and Izy are coming for a double-date sort of couples dinner next weekend. We're already planning the menu.

So after dinner, as we all lounged around the front room watching YouTube Videos, Dax reached into his wallet. After a second he pulled out a pair of tickets to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at MIDNIGHT! I threw my arms around him and kissed him right there. I'd suggested going opening weekend, and even at midnight, but I didn't think that we could get tickets. He doesn't drive, I don't go up there as regularly as before, and the theatre we go to is small and doesn't have a website where I could order tickets. His family'd gone to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen earlier that day so he bought them. I've spent all weekend thanking him because they're a wonderful surprise.

On Saturday we didn't do much for most of the day until we went to get lunch/dinner on the Square. After that we began watching Burn After Reading. Weird movie. Definitely different from what the trailers and commercials led me to believe it was. I thought it'd be much more of a genuine comedy and not a 'what the hell is going on but it's a bit funny' film. About 2/3 of the way through we hiked over to the school grounds to watch the Fireworks. NGCSU puts on a show for the community every year and I'd never seen it. Pretty colours!

I went home today... *Sigh* I'll be back in a week and a half. I have one more week left in camp. I'm hoping that since this week's work is [mostly] less concrete than previous weeks, it won't be boring/difficult to make them pay attention. While Zach's put more effort into participation and doing his work, he still is a bit inappropriate. I can let some of it go as six-year-old boy antics, but he said one thing at Rec period that I had to report. Max is a different story as he's a wuss, argumentative, and never wrong in his opinion. Which would be fine if it were a matter of opinion. But when he says things like 'England is a part of the U.S.A.' and yells that he's right when someone corrects him or inserts himself into a conversation, gets the whole idea wrong and then yells that the original speakers are wrong, we have a problem... Down to my last week of Summer Camp, then Half-Blood Prince!

Meeeeeeme!

Stolen from AlyCat16. I woke up far too early for my own good. but I feel like playing with a meme, so I will! Baseball meme!

1. What player last year was most deserving to go to the All-Star game last year but didn't?
Hrmmm... I dunno. Well I think Jose Reyes should have been a starter and wasn't if I remember the voting, but that might be it

2. Have you made up any good nicknames for any players?
I called Brian McCann 'Baby Bear' for over a year from '06-'07 because he's so cuddly lookin'. But he's got the glasses and scruff and has outgrown that

3. If you were to play in the Major Leagues, what number would you wear on your back?
Maybe 13, 21, or 27

4. Do you root for your home team?
Only when the Mets are winning

5. Anyone else think Brandon Webb is any good?
He's good, but he doesn't get enough run support. Something he's not getting blasted for the way Johan is

6. In your lifetime, what trade have you seen happen that made you the happiest?
I dunno...

7. Do you like the Commissioner of baseball?
Eh

8. If you were to have a job in baseball somehow, besides a player, coach, or owner, what job would you want?
Analysis or commentating

9. Where were the best seats you have ever sat?
The sixth row seats Kat and I snuck into last summer when the Oakland A's came to town

10. Would you rather have tickets to sit on the green monsta or one row behind your team's dugout?
Dugout behind the boys

11. Do you ever give someone a thumbs down because they like a certain team?
No, but I've gotten into a few stare-downs with Yankees fans when I'm wearing my Mets gear around here

12. Is there any players your team traded you wish could come back on your team?
Joey Smith, Xavier Nady, we could use those guys. Xavire I can rationalise because it was a regrettable emrgency, especially since Duaner was never the same, but the trade that lost us Joey Smith and Endy Chavez when we need them now more than ever catches my ire. A lot!

13. What is your favorite thing about the team your team last played?
Mike Cameron, Prince Fielder, and J.J. Hardy. Ryan Braun looks like he eats babies. I really can't stand him

14. Do you actually know any baseball players?
No, though I think it'd be fun to meet some of the great veterans

15. Name one team you love to watch your favorite team play?
There's no one team in particular. I get so few Mets games a year that I'll watch them play just about any team so long as they're not on some kind of tragic slide because then the game ends in heartbreak

16. Which is more exciting? Hitting a home run, or robbing someone from a home run with good defense?
Hitting a Home Run in a clutch spot is cool, but I think the skills, jumps, and climbing it takes to rob a home run might be cooler. Like Torii Hunter used to say in his 'I Live for This' commercial, 'He'd rather rob a Home run than Hit a Home Run'

17. Who is your favorite player that plays on your least favorite team?
Xavier Nady...

18. Supporter of DH or no? Why or why not?
If you're gonna throw 99 at someone's head, then you better be able to step in there and take your medicine.

19. Your take on instant replay?
As of now I like it, it has worked in the Mets favor this season and sometimes you really need the help of being able to review a play [I'll just steal Aly's answer]

20. Have you ever dated a fan of a rival team?
No

21. Which baseball player got you interested in baseball?
None, the story goes that the Royals-Cardinals Series was on the TV in the room the few days after my birth and the next year, the Mets won 108 games and it seems like I was hooked

22. Have you ever made a sign to take to a baseball game?
No

23. When watching a baseball game, do you prefer to watch it with someone or by yourself?
Either; if I'm alone I try to do it right, some good food, maybe a drink. If it's with someone it can be really fun too

24. Favorite players who don't play for your team?
Brian McCann, Frenchy, Xavier Nady, Evan Longoria, Vlady!, O-Huddy, lots of guys

25. Have you gotten your favorite player's autograph?
No

26. Which player from your rivals team, from the past or present do you respect?
Glav, Smoltz, Mads (though they're a given), Brian McCann, Mo...

27. Do you miss any player on your team who is on the DL?
Well since half the team is there, hell yes [I'll just take your answer again]

28. Have any of your pitchers had Tommy John surgery before?
I'm pretty sure that would be a yes [And again]

29. Who is your top prospect in your organization?
Well Fernando Martinez was, but now that he is playing, I'm not sure who it is [I WANT MY TEAM BACK!]

30. What is more fun to watch: the "Subway Series" or the newfound rivalry between the Nationals and Orioles?
Subway; so much more history, respect, and energy riding on it. Besides, both the Nationals and Orioles are bottom dwellers, so it's no fun to watch two teams battle it out when they're both gonna stay in the basement

31. How many stadiums have you been to for major league games?
Shea Stadium, [Old] Yankee Stadium, Turner Field, Fulton County Stadium

32. What does your team do when you hit a home run at home?
I love that Apple!

33. Who is the pitching coach for your team?
Dan Warthen

34. In all of baseball who is the best second baseman?
I'm an Orlando Hudson fan like whoa

35. Who is the biggest base stealing threat on your team?
Jose Reyes, that is when he gets back from the DL

36. Do you believe baseball stadiums should have domes or retractable roofs?
To prevent rain delays and rescheduled games, yes, but I can understand that some layouts just don't make it look good. Besides, the 'Stros whining about it in '05 still gets on my nerves

37. What are your top five stadiums you want to visit?
The Fens (Red Sox), Camden Yards (Orioles), The Trop (Them Rays), Chase Field (D-Backs), Citi Field (Mets)

38. Who in your division is the least threatening?
Ever the Nationals

39. Who is the next pitcher to start for your team?
Tim Redding [Reddy needs to get his big break]

40. What pitcher took the last win for your team?
Mike Pelfrey [Awww... I just love him]

41. Who is your team's setup man for the closer?
Right now it is basically whoever can throw strikes [Hear, hear!]

42. Think of the baseball autographs you have, what is the most special one?
Barry Zito. I nearly died when I got it; we caught him on a total whim and he was nice to sign for us

43. Who do you root for when the Yankees and Red Sox play?
Red Sox

44. Who do you root for when the Reds and Rockies play?
I dunno... They both have guys that I love peripherally, but I think I'll take Reds because I love Bronson Arroyo, Micah Owings, and Willy Taveras

45. When your bullpen surrenders a home run in a key situation, who is the likely pitcher that gave it up?
They are all likely to do it nowadays

46. Who is your team's best defensive outfielder?
Beltran [Yeah... God I miss him]

47. What was the year your team's stadium opened?
2009

48. Have you ever been to an interleague game?
Yes; Mets/Yankees (actually, it was the Mayor's cup when I was eight, but who's counting?), Tigers/Braves (Mmmm... Verlander... Who sucks with a bat), Mariners/Braves (Ichiro!), A's/Braves (Best sneak around evah!)

49. Who is the youngest player on your team?
Fernando Martinez

50. Who is your favorite utility player?
Endy Chavez; who is also broken

So tomorrow I drive out to meet Dax's Mother, cook a Fourth of July dinner, and hopefully she'll like me. We're also having a small party at SIG, so I look forward to it. Other than that, I'm happy (except that whole job search thing, but I'm putting feelers out and still potentially nannying at least) with life for the most part. Craig and I are supposed to have an Effigy Burning party the night of the Home Run Derby, kat and I are supposed to be watching the All-Star Game together, all of which I thoroughly look forward to.
